"This is me..then" was the fourth record of Jennifer Lopez and made it all clear. With this record she wanted to show us that she can do different things and although the complete album was dedicated to Ben Affleck, she did the best job ever on a record. All songs are more mid-tempo or even ballads, but it works. I heard this album a thousand times and I am still in love with it. "This is me..then" had mostly R&B songs, but also a few beautiful charts songs. "Jenny from the Block" became her biggest hit since 1999 and "All I Have" was another #1 Hit in the US. Even though the music was not made for the charts this time, she was not able to show more energy in her voice. This album was recorded in 2 weeks only, but it became her best album so far. If the wonderfull "Still" begins or "Loving you" which has some nice beats or the dancable "I'm glad", you will fall in love with this album. "The One" uses chinese elements and "Baby,I love u" may be her best song so far when her voice is mentioned. You also get some nice beats on "You belong to me" or "I've been thinking". In fact this was brilliant and very successful. You need some time to get into it, but then you will love this album, wonderful, romantic and even better than "J.Lo".
