This was the album that elevated Jennifer to superstar status and listening to the tracks, it's easy to understand why. She really made a statement by coming out with 'Love Don't Cost A Thing', which is still one of her best known songs and when 'Play' followed it up, everyone started to take notice. This is about the time I really became a fan of Jennifer.

Her second best album i played this album all the time and still do i love the whole album i loved everything about this album each song everything *******PLAY my favorite song though the video was ok ,******IM GONNA BE ALRIGHT i love and ***********THIS IS NOT ME this song had to be a single*********DANCE WITH ME should of been a single to**********SI YA SE ACABO me encanta,i love this cd!!!!!!!!

I could not stop listening to this album when it first came out. I had it in my Walkman forever.
"Play" might be the best dance track ever, and "Secretly" is sooo gorgeous! But my favorite song was "That's The Way!" I wish it would've gotten more attention.

The only "flaws" on this disc as far as I'm concerned is the very depressing "That's Not Me," and "Walking On Sunshine," which seems plastic and out of place compared to the other tracks. (Just my opinion. I know a lot of fans loved it.) I also like the remix of "I'm Gonna Be Alright" much better than the original version that was on this disc.

I remember when I first got this album I was like 11/12 and I couldn't stop playing this album.
This album is an up beat and gets you dancing all the time (well it gets me dancing all the time lol)
I remember when me and my friends always had a little giggle at 'come over' (but i was 11/12 didn't know much better lol)

'Ain't It Funny' is still one of my favourite songs ever and I loved the performance that Jennifer gave of this song during her first live concert on the Let's Get Loud DVD.
There are lots of Spanish influences on the album, as well as pop and r'n'b and it's an all round great record.

In my opinion this album contains the biggest hits of Jen:

And i love her Spanish songs on it, I want more songs like Si Ya Se Acabo in the future!

In 2001 Jennifer Lopez came back with another record called "J.Lo". Her second album was again a record for the charts. She recorded Dance-Pop, Latin, R&B and Hip Hop for "J.Lo" and it became her most successful album ever in history. Although there are again some weak ballads on this album and some mid-tempo songs sound boring and lame, she was able to record some brilliant songs. "Ain't it funny" is for sure a brilliant song and also "Play" was an amazing song for the charts! She had some really good dance tracks, for example "Love don't cost a thing" and "I'm Real". All these singles made this album another hit-album with millions of copies sold. She again wasn't able to proof that she can sing, because this mix of songs from different producers was not made to proof her voice - it was made for the charts once again. Her performances of that time are gorgeous and i love every single. She was able to make you move and to make you dance, but when I listen to "Come over", I think she wanted us also to sleep well. Nobody ever believed in a comeback, but she did it and this was just the beginning. There are pretty much dance songs on this album for example "Dance with me", "That's the way" or "Carino". I enjoy all these songs and I love the influence of spanish music on this album, but in the end this is just another pop album with a lot of potencial. Good songs and bad songs get a chance on this record, so try it and see for yourself! I give 4 stars for this album although it includes some hits I really love!
