I loved her concert...and I think it was worth waiting for Eye-wink
I am sure it was the Greek organizing that was at fault for making all of us wait...but hey...she did a great show Eye-wink
I am so happy to have been there...almost one year ago Eye-wink

you guys should be glad to have seen here. i wasn't there so i don't know anything about te concert but if i was in your place i just would have been glad to finally see her live. You really are the lucky ones, she hasn't been anywhere else in Europe, she has been in a few places but her fans never had a chance to see her.

Has Jennifer made any statements regarding the quality of the Saturday concert? Anything at all?

The photoshoot issue has now gone political.

Metro Greece is running a half page story this morning about how this photoshoot was not given the proper authorization. Both opposition parties have raised the issue, citing that the Central Archaeological Board, from which any such requests need to be "green lighted", had not been contacted at all in this case. Instead, it seems CEO Petros Kostopoulos of IMAKO Media, publisher of In Style magazine Greece for which the shoot was made, must have done a backhanded deal with the current Minister of Culture who OK'ed the shoot. Minister Michalis Liapis in defended the decision, characterizing the session as a positive advertisement for Greece, due to the JLO's global fame.

When asked about the supposed permission, Photographer Spyros Poros said that the Editor in Chief of In Style magazine was in possession of the necessary documents. The Editor in Chief was not available for comment.

I'm happy for Jenny that she gets her Greek Holiday pix in DownTown magazine (exclusive media sponsor of her trip here) but which government official gave them the permission to do a commercial photoshoot at THE most important archaeological site in Greece? I was under the impression these were strictly forbidden....

I can understand you wanted to promote your clothes and drum up a little extra financial support for Act Up, but to let your Greek fans down like that is so unlike you, Jenny.
Can you at least give us an explanation or an official comment about Saturday's turn of events?
Who's to blame, Max Productions or your camp?

Thanks for listening to those who listen to you....

The 'concert' was not worth the money. I will agree - her dancing was very good but when you go to a concert you want the whole package especially when concert tickets for the JLO performance were so highly priced. I would have expected to see only live performances but I am 100% sure quite a bit of the performance was lip-syncing. I assume protions of it were live-at least they appeared to be- but quite a few portions were not.

I understand that when someone is jumping around and dancing like that they can't be expected to deliver a studio performance. Also in the studio versions you would have some of JLO's vocals layered over her main vocals. OK so this can't be expected to be duplicated on stage unless pre-recorded vocals are used for portions of the songs. But this is where the backup singers some in. Were they really backup singers or not? Could they not have sung the refrain part of the song so that JLO could do the shout-outs and such? Why go with pre-recorded vocals?

And last but not least it was a very very short concert. One hour only?

JLO when you go to give a concert-no matter where it is-you have to respect your audience. Otherwise don't go. Especially when you've already cancelled out once before.

And to the company that organized it [Max Productions]: You couldn't have done a worse job. You left us waiting outside for much too long after the designated time that doors were supposed to open and the people you had assigned failed to give proper directions as to the correct entrance.

JLO!! THE LIVE THEY WAS AMAZING!!!!!

us return!! jlo!!!

with respect

I really cannot begin to describe how badly organised JLo's "concert" in Athens was. I was one of the stupid ones who paid 150euros ($216) to make sure I would have a good view to the show. But.... what show? The one that started with a great delay (for which noone apologised), the one that consisted of no more than eight songs, most of which were performed by play back, with some last-minute choreography? She came out, sang two songs, then left, came back a few minutes later, and she kept doing this the wole 45 minutes that the "show" lasted for. She was nice to the people, but did not manage to create a concert atmosphere. Maybe only a little when she performed her last song, "Let's get loud". Then she left and never came back, left us wondering ...that was it?

The truth is that we do not get to see many A-class performers in Athens. I understand Greece is a small market. But when someone decides to come, they should better respect their audience. It appeared like JLo came here to promote her clothes line which is doing great in Greece and by the way thought "why not make some pocket money?". I have live in the US and been to enough concerts to know last night was NOT a real concert. I got suspicious when the concert was only announced 20 days ago and there was almost no publicity. Furthermore, I knew she was not on an official tour, or anything. Also the venue had never before been used for something like that. I thought, though, that a star like her would not compromise. About the greek production company, it's really sad. Very sad.

I just came from the show...
Are you still excited? Cause I'm NOT!!!!
ONLY 1 hour performance???????
I was there since 17.30 as it was written on the ticket and at what time the doors opened?
19.45!!!!!!!
At what time started the show???? 21.45!!!!!!!
And all these hours ONLY 1 song from Papadopoulos, 3 songs from Martakis???
And final ONLY 6 songs from Jennifer?????
Oh P L E A S E..... So much money (I was in section A -137,5 Euro with the "Ticketspro" profit) for 1,5 hour standing and 1,5 hour with not even some songs from cd and final ONE hour with SIX songs????
And not even ONE person not even Jennifer herself said a simple "SORRY for the delay"....
I love her, I love her songs but that was the absolute XEFTILA (in our language Greek)....
I felt like the greatest jurk in the world and believe me I'm not the only one....
All the people that we were there at the begining we didn't beileve it that was over... we thought that it was a break... we didn't want to beileve that it was over... that we were soooooo jurks that we gave so much money for what? For one hour? We have been in so many other concerts, and none of them was like this... the tonight's concert was U N A C C E P T A B L E !!!!!!
